Feedbach for Consultant Leaders

Feedbach is for you as a consultant leader as you ensure that your consultants represent the organization well by regularly following up with them. You also maintain communication with your clients, frequently asking how they perceive your people.

Feedbach is not meant to replace the great conversations you have with your customers, but it will increase the quality of these conversations, giving both parties enhanced value.

For clients who often hire numerous consultants from various companies, these regular follow-up conversations can become overwhelming, adding to their already busy schedules. Furthermore, your contact person at the client company may not be the one working directly with the consultant daily. As a result, you might not receive the feedback you need, or you could be imposing an additional burden on the client, who then has to gather feedback from their team and colleagues.

Instead of asking, "How are the consultants performing in your projects?" in these conversations, you can say, "This is how your team views my consultant," and then present the results of the latest evaluation, and then proceed to assess if the contact person is sharing the impression. You can also discuss potential improvement goals and make sure the are aligned with the contact person's requirements. If everything is going well, you can use more of the conversation to explore new opportunities and needs, thereby creating even more business!
